Partnerships for conservation

Partnerships are at the core of our efforts at Nature Seychelles. Through these collaborations, spectacular results for nature conservation have been achieved.

We maintain strong ties with the local and global conservation community, the donor community, universities and the private sector.

Government – We believe a sustainable future can only be achieved through genuine and mutually respectful partnerships. We collaborate through formal and informal partnerships with government ministries and agencies.

Universities – We have links with overseas universities, particularly in Europe to promote scientific research in Seychelles. We support MSc and PhD students and implement joint projects. Notably, the Seychelles Warbler Group, made of researchers from the universities of East Anglia, Sheffield, Leeds, and Groningen has been conducting groundbreaking research on this endemic bird for over 30 years. They have published many scientific papers and established their research into the “tiny brown job” as a global phenomenon.

Local, Regional, and Global Organizations  – As members and partners in international entities such as BirdLife, IUCN, the Global Ocean Forum, WCPA and others, we contribute to global positions, conventions, funding, strategy, and agreements. Our expertise and interest in SIDS (Small Island Developing States) issues is well known.

THANK YOU
Our funders, strategic partners, and business community for supporting our work to save Seychelles nature. Our long-term impact would not have been possible without your support.
