It’s not really the sexy part of conservation, but without good IT equipment, vehicles, boats, information centers, accommodation, roads, supply of potable water and electricity and so forth it would be very difficult to undertake world class conservation action,” says Nirmal Shah, Nature Seychelles Chief Executive.

Oxford University Press has made Conservation Biology for All available for free download. According to its abstract, this book provides cutting-edge but basic conservation science for the inhabitants of both developing as well as developed countries. Authoritative chapters are written by top names in conservation biology.

Coral reef project "historic opportunity," Ambassador says

On Tuesday October 26, 2010 Nature Seychelles launched an innovative project to restore damaged corals in Seychelles called Reef Rescuers - Restoring Coral Reefs in the Face of Climate Change at its office the Centre for Environment and Education in Roche Caiman in the presence of Seychelles Minister for Investment, Natural Resources & Industry, Peter Sinon, US Ambassador to the Seychelles Mary Jo Wills, partners from government and the civil society, and other guests.
